As Georgia has moved from a one party state to a competitive, two party state, it is imperative that campaigns reflect this. For over 30 years, our expertise was built by helping candidates develop their skills as campaigners and adjusting to the changing dynamics. After leaving the State Democratic Party, where we helped numerous candidates in their elections, we continued to be asked to assist in campaigns.

In 2000, we assisted over 20 candidates successfully, at the local and state level. In 2001 we were in the lead of a successful city council race in Atlanta. Also, in the 2002 cycle we were excited about branching out and assisting candidates across the south. In 2004, we continued our 90% win rate in another 15 races. In 2005, our city council member, Anne Fauver of Atlanta, won again. In 2006, we assisted over 10 candidates but added a statewide race. Gail Buckner won a crowded dem primary by finishing first in the primary and winning the runoff for Secretary of State. We lost in the General with our opponent receiving 54% of the vote, while the dem Governor candidate receiving only 39%. Gail outpolled several statewide candidates on the ballot but came up short in a tough year for democrats.
